One day last December, I was not feeling sleepy even though it was way past my usual bedtime. It had been a year since I have moved into my new room. I see the bright yellow walls, still so clean and new, and I see a marker beside my bed.
And I guess, no more motivation is needed. Thus, on that day, this happened:
I didn’t know lettering, or calligraphy, I still don’t. I am by no means artistic. But still, I decided to write on my walls. And once that was started, I have to get going.. Because, who wants a wall with awkwardly placed quotes in them?
The mission began – I have to fill this wall with beautiful words, phrases, sentences, excerpts, quotations that I have loved in the books that I have read, am reading.
Today, after more than five months – here’s how that wall looks:
I see this everyday before I sleep and when I wake up. And it makes me happy, encouraged, determined, or whatever I feel I need most for the day. I find it in this wall.
So I guess the goal is, once I have my own house, and I have assigned which one will be the Wall of Quotes (cause there will surely be one, future house!), I have to make it pretty and better than what I have today, which I fondly call in my head as organized mess. I gotta learn lettering or calligraphy! Must start practicing!
Anyway. That’s it. Just a random something.
Til the next one,
