Just finished reading my second book for July! And this book was worth the crazy looks for my sudden chuckles and sneers in public. (Yeah, I usually read on my way to work and on my way back home..)
This book is funny in many ways! The narration of the adventures of a centenarian succeeding his decision to climb out of the window and disappear is being interrupted by another narration of his adventures in his younger age. And man, what adventures they were!
In his life he has met and dine and drank vodka with the most powerful political figures of his time from US, Russia, China, North Korea, Germany, etc. Many times his life was almost ended, and he was able to get out of those sticky situations in as many times.
This book is well-recommended, a welcome break from the YA genre (what genre is this book?).
I’d give this a 4 out of 5.
In general it was quite unnecessary to be grumpy if you had the chance not to.
Keeping on reading,
